alright, its been out for about a day now. Anybody seen it yet?
there's a few things that i want to know peoples feed back on so here:
| some what of a spoiler wrote: | | at the end when the tape cuts back to coney island, you see something fall into the ocean. i still don't know if it was just my eyes playing tricks on me or what not, but it gives the thought that the giant monkey-frog-lizard came from space. also, after all the credits you hear something along the lines "it's still alive". again, my ears may play tricks on me as well. |

I didn't mind it. Rob tried his best to make us laugh.
the fact that he tried to make the best out of the end of everything made me give a chuckle. _________________

i read a lot about this and the websites created because of the ARG (im a huge fan of ARGs anyway) and i have a loose grasp of what this movie is supposed to be about. it seems pretty neat, and the websites are kind of creepy actually in a weird way. you can find links to all of them if you look up cloverfield on wikipedia.
theres 4 dif bootlegs on http://grabngovideo.com/ if anyone on here wants to watch it, i havent checked the quality yet because i have to go to work in like a half hour so i dont have time. _________________

I saw it. It was OK. Not great, but OK. The camera made me kind of dizzy and the first 30 minutes or so were boring. The monster had no name and no backstory. It just appeared in New York. Other than that, yeah, it's worth seeing.
I cried at the end. |

| See, I'm oddly placated with Cloverfield. I don't know how I'd do it differently, except maybe write the movie with more realistic characters who just spend most of the time freaking their shit out because A GIGANTIC FUCKING BOMB-RESISTANT, BUILDING-SMASHING, CRAB-DROPPING, GIL-HEADED MONSTER is attacking Manhattan. |

Just saw this one tonight, and I really liked it. The hand-held footage style makes me a little queasy after a while, what with all the jumping and bumping, but I would go so far as to say that it's the best kaiju picture I've seen. Production- and art-wise, that is, and not necessarily in sheer entertainment value.
Also, fucking stoked for Iron Man. |

me too, but i'm still trying to figure out if it's real stoked or just one of those ironic kinds of stoked
either way it will be badass
and as far as cloverfield goes,
| Quote: | | i didn't like that at the start of the video it revealed the tape was found in central park. that kind of gave away what would happen |

if it consists of robert downey jr. making hilarious retorts and beating people up, then
if it's just a lame superhero story about beating up terrorists and special effects set to bad metal music and it turns out to be one big army advertisement (im looking at you, transformers) it'll blow _________________

I don't understand the whole motion sickness thing. I don't get nauseous easily, so I don't know what people are complaining about. I thought Cloverfield was a great, much needed monster movie. It's an idea I've really wanted to see put on screen for a long time.

That was supposed to set the mood for the movie. I mean, you're watching a monster movie, so obviously there's going to be that sort of thing happening. |
