if it's under $100, I'll consider it. Otherwise, too much.

The Rev is going to be under $300. Considering the PSP is like, $200, and a handheld, the Revolution's cost isn't going to be bad at all.

You're frugal.
I'm either frugal or broke, you decide.

I don't know about you, but that stick is where my pointer finger goes whenever I'm playing a game that uses shoulder buttons. Why have that thing? What's wrong with, oh, I don't know, the "attachment" being for the -console-, not the -controller-. Also, minus points for: old picture, ugly picture, awkward controller, "we're innovative. really. no, we take it back, here, use it as a standard, if ugly, controller."

PS2 had light guns, arcade sticks, mice, dance pads... I don't see how attaching it to the controller instead of the console is a big deal, other than making it look bad.

And motion sensitive is bad. I have enough to think about what my fingers/thumbs are doing without thinking about how I'm moving my hands... Not to mention, motion sensitivity is a very tricky thing to pull off without majorly screwing it up. I don't want to have to pause to yawn, change positions or put my controller down. And what if somebody surprises you whil you're playing? You might run yourself off a cliff or something.

You can't just decide the motion sensitivity will suck. This is nintendo, and all their main projects tend to be good.

They put that in because they knew assholes would complain about the controller before they tried it.

Virtual Boy!

And Nintendo products have usually been behind the times... the Gameboy is crap compared to the Lynx and Game Gear, the N64 came out long after the Atari Jaguar, and... and the Dreamcast? I don't remember.

And the SNES got its butt kicked by its competitor systems as well.

But the Gameboy proved to be the most popular, since it's currently the dominating 2D handheld.

Agreed. You can't fully judge something until you've actually experienced it.
Also, as I remember it, VB wasn't a main project. Plus, Sharp added "tend" in there. Implying that not everything Nintendo's done has succeeded.

I think the Rev is going to do well regardless of the controller. There will be a ton of games that make use of it, yes. But there are also going to be games that can use the shell or GC controller. Nintendo's trying to make gaming more accesible to everyone. Seeing what Nintendogs did for the DS, the Rev should do very well.

No, we should say, "Well, the majority of their ideas have been good ones, so it's likely that this one will be too."

ITS, go away. I'm convinced you always take the assholes' side because there's always going to be someone to argue with. This thread is for educating idiots, not pointless argument.

Sharp, don't call people who take a side you aren't on the "assholes'" side. Sure, he has ... "different" opinions than most of the forumers, but let him express them. If you don't like what he says, ignore it.

I'd like to keep debates as just debates, not arguments/flame wars, please. You made a topic in which not everyone is going to agree with you. Just.. I dunno, deal with it :/

ITS doesn't change opinions.
He has them and sticks with them, and it's useless to argue.
I'd know.
