Encino Man was the shit. Stoney was one of the coolest characters ever. I do think that security needs to come on immediately after someone gets up from the crowd to come on stage. That's a little ridiculous that they wait until after he gets punched to intervene. GOD, I hate people that heckle and then get offended when the comedian retorts and embarrasses them. I mean, it's not like the incident with Michael Richards; Shore insulted him, yes, but if you are going to heckle you have to be prepared to take that kind of thing. It didn't help either that the crowd was being so immature and was incouraging the man to hit him.
On a side note: Paulie Shore obviously has some really shitty reflexes. He had to have been able to guess that guy was about to hit him and he had to have seen the guy's arm rear back for a punch, so why didn't he just duck? He had a pretty sizeable timeframe. Better yet, duck and then use the microphone stand that's right beside him to whack the guy across the head. Then, when the hick's passed out cold on the stage, Shore could have picked up the mic again and continued his show until the cops arrived. After you beat the heck out of a man, a crowd tends to listen attentively to what you have to say.
