whoa, fuck everyone for not replying. this game confirms that i don't need any fucking next gen console for another year or so.
i don't want to spoil anything, but everything i've seen of the game is absolute win - hell, the first thing you do in the game is fight the fucking collosus of rhodes while killing dozens of rhodian soldiers at the same time. does it get any better?

Yeah.
Don't get me wrong, God of War was a great game and I'm sure the sequal will be even better, but I think the game is overrated. People like to saying that God of War was a "near-perfect game" and that Kratos is such a badass. Yet, the puzzles were pretty much half-assed and Kratos is actually just an emo kid who tries to act tough for his myspace page.
I'll get the sequal eventually I'm sure, just not day one. Maybe on a price drop. |

You beat me to the thread..i've been looking forward to this for a long time. the first was just so badass...even though some of the game is pretty inaccurate (pandora's box does what), it's still awesome.

reasons why kratos is the most badass badass:
- he's not young
- he's not a ninja
- he doesn't have stupid hair
- he doesn't have TUDE
- he doesn't take shit from no wanker called eric
he suffered a true crisis in his life... he had an excuse to act all CLICHEemoCLICHESHUTUPERIC.
gow was a great game because it was straight to the point. the combo system gets some criticism because some say its a poor mans dmc3. fuck that shit - the gow system was excellent. switching between the blades gave some great combo oppurtunities (important in god mode and the challenges) and this time it's going to be even better, because there's a whole lot of rad new weapons with like three billion attacks each.
it's just great pick-up-and-play stuff, which as far as I'm concerned, most other action games on the ps2 weren't.

I merely express the opinion that GoW is overrated (while still good) and you're throwing this at me?
The combat is excellent. There's no doubt about that. But to me everything else in the game doesn't stand up to the same standard of excellence.
You don't have to jump down my throat just because I don't agree 100% with your viewpoint. Geez. |
