there's a old black and white twillight zone like this.
this alien comes to the earth, and it convinces the people that it will take the people up into the universe to show them all this higher technology and galaxy and whatnot, and it has this book. well the main character decodes the book and finds out it's not To Serve Man as in help, but To Serve Man as in a cook book for humans.
good ol' twillight zone.
I though Good Eats was that cooking show.
