Stephen Pressfield's "Gates of Fire".
I thought people had been talking it up. I was wrong. Really brings the ancient Spartans and all Hellenes to life.
Also,
Ronald Wright's "Stolen Continents", refering to accounts and recordings by the Iroquois/Haudenasaunee, Cherokee, Aztec, Maya and Inca. Very interesting. Shows how horrible us white folks really are. _________________

That's one of my favorite books ever. :D
I read the original Persepolis (one of the few books I actually found that was decent at the library) but I never read the sequel. The original was really, really good... how is the sequel, anyways?
Currently I'm going through my DNAngel manga because I'm a sad and pathetic person. I still have a huge pile of books to read. Next up on my list is some Fitzgerald I picked up ages ago, started reading, and then never finished. D: _________________

Our English teacher gave us a list of books to choose from for our next book. I'm going with Brave New World, since I had planned on reading it anyway. _________________

Oh, I loved that book. I think it was one of his bests.
Now I'm reading Cell by Stephen King. This one's odd. His other books are creepy, but not really all that gorey. This one is like 300 pages of pure gore.
And I love it. |
