and here i thought i was the only person who preferred the rosaries.
everyone on the gamefaqs forum for okami flips out over the glaives, which i hate. they just take too long to charge and have terribly range. reflectors' range is also pretty lousy. |

I usually switch between the rosaries and reflectors mid-battle. I'll usually stun someone with a reflector, then swap over to the rosary to get some rapid damage in. I don't have a glaive yet so obviously I can't judge it. _________________

... I never used rosaries. They keep you in one place for too long and when you're fighting against a boss they don't make them flinch. They're alright as a sub-weapon but are still not worth my time. I never divinated one of my rosaries. I prefer a reflector-reflector combo or a glaive-reflector combo. I like having a sheild to work with. When you get to Ryoshima Coast, make sure and visit the dojo to get the Wailing Mirrors technique so when you equip two reflectors they both gain a recognizable amount of offensive and defensive power. For boss battles I used glaives because I can charge up their power and hit them with critical damage combos. Of course, once you get Amaterasu's final reflector you don't really need to worry about glaives anymore. Your weapons all get elemental powers at the end. _________________

Well, the only boss I've fought so far is the Spider Queen, but I'm going to go out on a limb and say that for most bosses, you stun them and then have limited time to strike their weak point. So, stun them, and switch to rosaries. _________________

the spider queen took me far longer than i should have. at that point of the game, i was still unaware of the green smoke issuing from the brush to let you know your stroke will work, so i was just wildly drawing vines everywhere and praying they hooked on somewhere. it wasn't a fun battle. so far, my favorite boss has been orochii. it's very easy and they kind of hold your hand throughout the whole thing, but it's enjoyable. |

My favorite boss is Blight. I just like the way he looks. He's just some possessed suit of samurai armor with like twenty swords jabbing through him. He uses this cursed sword that allows him to travel at insane speeds and you have to find a way to slow him down to beat him. I enjoyed it to say the least... _________________
