I'm pretty sure we didn't make all our nukes from domestic uranium.

And you can't have lower-class people building nukes, they need to not explode unexpectedly.

so I don't think it does.
Sometimes you're so dense, Dave. I wasn't commenting that we have more nuclear proliferation, specifically. I was commenting that we have more of pretty much everything in the US.

However, even if I'd just talking about nukes, you are still mistaken. Uranium deposits do not a nuclear weapon make... the proliferation of nuclear weapons owned by the United States is a direct result of our involvement in WWII and the Cold War as a worldwide superpower. The United States and the Soviet Union became the most powerful nations (economically, politically, and in military terms) because of two factors: abundant natural resources and a massive supply of lower-class laborers. Almost every other country never had the opportunity to get a nuclear weapons program off the ground. Even if they had the resources, they never had the motive, because they didn't have gigantic economic power that needed serious protecting.

And your insinuation that lower-class people are of inferior intelligence is a telling one, as is your idea that a nuclear warhead could detonate by accident because ooops Joe knocked it over! You do realize that all of the United States' nuclear weapons are in the hands of the military, and something like three quarters of military recruits come from working or lower class families... high school dropouts, even!

Like we had much choice.

That's the drawback of democracy, when only bad leaders run, bad leaders win.

al gore was a great candidate and he basically won anyway. it's not as bad though because bush was able to use dirty politics to get ahead, he presented himself as a lot more moderate than he actually is, and the american people didnt know how bad of a person he is.

voting for him a second time is kind of unforgivable if you have more than a double digit iq.

one thing is for sure though, john kerry probably wouldnt have vetoed that health care bill

and we all know providing health care for POOR SICK CHILDREN is straight up unamerican Nevar Ferget

And this is not a drawback to all other forms of government? Granted, in other systems you don't really get to choose who wins, but isn't being able to choose which bad leader you get still one-up on monarchies or fascism?
